In the state of Illinois, children 12 years old and over have legal statute confidentiality rights and no state licensed mental health professional can disclose the content of counseling sessions without a written release of information signed by the child. Dont like it? Find some vote whoring weasel politician who will try to change the law to the one you want, or have the law revoked. But understand that revocation puts child victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect by their own abusive parents at risk.
